The path of least resistance.

It’s the topic of argument: water pollution, water right, water ways.

It’s the micro-molecule H2O, just three atoms but merely two elements. Organic chemists spend two weeks understanding its unusual qualities.

How does it work? Does water form ions of OH that are bonded to another H2O atoms

OR the H atoms interact with each other on two distinct water atoms. Shown as dots not solid lines, signifying those special ‘weak’ bonds.

There is so much more to water – living things on Earth can survive most things, heart break, heart attack, amputation of fingers, toes, arms, legs, but heat stroke, dehydration and water depravation kills all of us. It’s more than the carrier of life. Human food happens directly through plant life, photosynthesis and nutrients, dependent upon snow melt, rain, the cycles of water raining down on us all.

River-cut gorges and glacially formed geography is the solid ground we all walk upon, has been determined and exists (like the Grand Canyon) due to lack of water.
