‘What’s grand?’ asks Lucy.

‘It’s grand that it’s school holidays.’ – Jon

‘Why?’ – Lucy

‘’Cause I can go photographing all day. No school, no homework.’ – Jon.

‘OK. Grand that I can watch cooking programmes on TV.’ – Lucy.

Too bad – lots of rain, grey skies, wind. So Jon doesn’t enjoy photographing.

Too bad – TV kaput, so Lucy can’t watch TV programmes.

So find alternatives! Reading / writing/sleeping/walking/talking.

That’s ‘grand’.
