Kevan Smith - Ensconce and Struggle

“I want to help. Since we landed, when I was a little boy, I know you have made this as comfortable for me as you can. You Puter are Mother-roaming beyond the pod. You and Mother have built a very reasonable fort-home with laser protection, alarms; long-and-short-range armed defences plus exploratory and inventive initiatives. You’ve made gardens for food and process clothing from the ground’s chemicals, flora and fauna.” Bonn exploded in a swirl of arms.
“I have done nothing; I struggle to make a difference, to help, to not be a burden. I want to help!”
Puter looked into Bonn’s eyes simulating calm serenity. Sensors blink front of head on top of the metallic snake-neck.
“Bonn, we created and grew this compound where we collided into this planet. Our job is to make here survivable - for you - our most important commodity. We are ensconced into this world on this alien planet just to Keep You Alive. You ARE the reason Mother and I continue. You ARE our sole and most important task. You don’t need to help more than keep alive. You are our reason to exist.”
“This is as close we can get to loving you.”
