at first luxuriant

now overgrown

in its time

replete with a goodness

that only the Earth

could provide

the shadow

falls across the garden wall

and within that grey

a refuge for small life

witness to a particular decay

remnants of once loved

herbs and vegetables

now... the other garden...

inside the mind and heart

where all that strived for life...

and grew to completion... still does

... and shall forever more
