Wenjun Guo - Lemon

Speaking Lemon always remains me of a TV show. There were a grandpa and a grandson, they were sitting at the waiting room as the grandson’s mum in the hospital unconscious.

‘Grandpa, when will my mum be back home with me?’

Grandpa said that ‘Look at this lemon tree outside this hospital. When the lemon gets ready, your mum will be back home with you.’

‘I hate lemon. How I have waited this lemon tree to see my dearest mum gets home.’

‘My sweetie, Imagine here is a lemon, and a cup. When you squeeze is become lemon juice, but when you add a bit honey is turning into lemonade. You like lemonade, don’t you?’

‘Yes, I do. So, when lemon is ready my mum will be home. We can all enjoying this sweet drink, right, grandpa?’

‘Indeed…’ Grandpa with a smile.

Sometimes we can’t control the outside world, we cannot control the situation. The only thing we can do is embrace the change or uncertainty. Think of the lemon tree story. Just adding a little bit of honey something magic will happen. How beautiful the world could be.
