How much will humanity develop over the coming eons? How much has it really developed over the past eons? Have we developed because our brains have become smarter or because we invent one small thing and we think of another small thing to add to it, then another, then another. We get better with every small step. Every small change to a material gives us another chance to make something new and better. Every accident, creates an opportunity. Sometimes, a human who thought, ‘Hmm…I wonder what will happen if I mix this with this…whoops.’
Some accidents or great ideas were failures, but just as many were successes, but we aren’t as smart as we think we are. We’ve just been winging it, with every little flap of the wings bringing a disaster or a marvel.
We will develop, but it’s not because we are amazing, we just blunder on and occasionally get things right. But are they really right? Have we developed beyond other animals because we’ve created so many things that we think are amazing, or are we a mutation of the life on our planet?
Are we about to send ourselves into the lost memories of the animals who were more developed? Which, by the way, is probably most of them. Most of the ones that are not extinct.
Were other extinct animals just a blot on the planet’s evolution? Are we a blot? Why don’t other animals work themselves into the grave? Did dogs and cats get cancer before we came along, or was it just because they hang around with us now? We make them so stressed their bodies rebel?
Are other animals saying to each other, ‘Hey Craig, what do you think about those humans? Are they going to die out due to stress, disease and working themselves to the bone? Haven’t they worked it out like the rest of the animal kingdom, except bees and ants of course? We only eat when hungry, only hunt when hungry and sloth around most of the day, so we can have a relaxing life.’
‘Yeah Megs. I can’t see it lasting. What a pack of bloody idiots. But they’re so chuffed with themselves. That’s what amazes me! Developed? Hah! They have no idea.’
